Frank J. Sciro Jr., Esq., was born in Paterson, New Jersey. The son of the late Senator and Mrs. Frank J. Sciro.
Frank attended Paterson Public Schools and graduated Seton Hall Law School in 1971, thereafter serving a one-year legal clerkship with former Congressman Charles Joelson. He has been selected as an elite practitioner in numerous publications, including the “Who’s Who’ in the U.S., and the “Best of N.J.”, for outstanding Italian American Professionals. He has been rated as “AV”, which is a denotation for the highest rating of New Jersey trial attorneys. He is a member of the Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Bar Association. He has also received honorary awards as one of the 10 Best Criminal Law Attorneys as published by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys and as New Jersey’s Top Rated Criminal Lawyer by the Star Ledger Inside Jersey.
Frank has been active in the Democratic Party for 46 years. He initially served as a campaign manager for the late Freeholder Ed O’Byrne, and also served as campaign manager for Freeholder/Assemblywoman Elease Evans as well as a member of the Finance Committee for Congressmen Pascrell, Sheriff Speziale and Chairman Currie. Frank is the Chief Counsel for the Passaic County Board of Social Services.
Proudly, Frank has served as the attorney assigned to the 4th Ward Election Day Committee headed by Councilwoman Vera Ames-Garnes and Waheeda Mohammed. He was active in the Presidential Campaign of Barack Obama.
Frank and his wife Tanis enjoy spending free time with their two daughters and grandson Griffin. He is also an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Baltimore Ravens.
